Logistics Implementer

Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-driven individual to join our team. The focus would be on understanding business requirements and designing and delivering solutions within a structured product offering. An ideal candidate would have work experience in business analysis, system configuration and project management within the logistics industry.

Job Requirements

The successful candidate will be responsible for :

  • Implementing transport optimisation software
  • Project management
  • Business analysis
  • Requirement specifications
  • Preparation of documentation and SOPs
  • Solution design
  • Liaising with software developers
  • The configuration and population of master data into optimisation systems
  • Troubleshooting software
  • Process mapping and reengineering
  • Project management
  • Support
  • Auditing of implementations

Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience
  • A minimum of 2 year’s working experience in transport optimisation would be advantageous.
  • BEng (Industrial Engineering), Logistics or BComm Logistics Degree (or similar) from an accredited university
  • Project management skills
  • Analytical skills to aid troubleshooting and analysing client requirements.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to work with a variety of people with varying skill levels.
  • Must be self-motivated and keep track of all aspects of project work.
  • Thorough working knowledge of IT Operating Systems, networking environments, NoSQL databases, and tools such as MS Excel would be advantageous.
