Application Support Specialist

Job Description

We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about Application Support. To be successful, you need to be able to take on challenges with ease and you need to be able to work well under pressure.

Job Requirements

  • Application software support for customers, related to the installation, operation, and maintenance of computer software application programs.
  • Software installations and configurations (e.g. upgrades) & maintenance activity (e.g. regular maintenance patches) for applications.
  • MS SQL Server, MongoDB and database management.
  • Receive and handle support tickets and resolve support-related issues.
  • After hours support, systems analysis, liaising with software developers, internal software and IT support, software testing.
  • Troubleshooting skills and ability to apply problem solving skills to solve technical problems on existing applications.

Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience
  • BSc Degree or relevant IT degree would be advantageous
  • Minimum 3 years plus working experience in a similar role
  • Experience in SQL Server, MongoDB, Windows Server, networking, IT support desk and software support
