OPSI and Retriever's fully integrated offering set to revolutionise logistics planning and fulfillment
Sydney, Australia, April 14, 2007: Retriever Communications and OPSI Systems Australia announced today their Joint Venture for the Australian and New Zealand logistics and transport markets. OPSI, a world leader in distribution scheduling software, and Retriever, Australia's largest wireless field automation company, have co-developed a single end-to-end solution from schedule planning to delivery fulfillment with ePOD. The offering is unique in its closed-loop capability of delivering optimized distribution scheduling integrated to actual live performance of deliveries. The first deployment will be fully operational this month. Retriever has offered its wireless automation under both software and ASP (SaaS) models since 2000 and consequently has substantial support systems and reputation established. This support capability will now underpin this new offering.
